24h Work Distillation¶
ACTIVE · DAILY
This module turns one day of scattered exploration into a durable structural record without pretending that every idea is already architecture.
Purpose¶
Every 24-hour record should answer:
- what major axes were touched;
- what new branches or sub-branches appeared;
- what decisions were made;
- what facts were verified;
- what remains assumption, blocker, dependency, or unresolved question;
- what artifacts, repositories, nodes, services, or accounts were mentioned or changed;
- what work is RAW, ACTIVE, BLOCKED, VERIFIED, DISTILLED, or ready to ARCHIVE;
- what recurring patterns are becoming stable enough to update the Reality Map.

proposed Reality Map delta
The record is a daily delta, not a complete rewrite of the system.
Recommended daily structure¶
1. Time boundary¶
Record the start and end of the 24-hour window and the timezone used.
2. Major axes touched¶
Map each significant branch to A0–A5 from the Reality Map.
3. New branches¶
Record newly created lines of work and their parent context when known. Do not fabricate relationships merely because topics look similar.
4. Decisions¶
Separate explicit human decisions from agent proposals or inferred direction.
5. Evidence and uncertainty¶
Keep these distinct:
- VERIFIED FACT — supported by observed evidence;
- HUMAN DECISION — explicitly authorized direction;
- ASSUMPTION — useful but unverified working belief;
- BLOCKER — prevents safe or correct progress;
- UNKNOWN — insufficient information.
6. State transitions¶
Use the shared states:
A branch may remain ACTIVE across many days. Daily records should describe the delta rather than duplicate the whole history.
7. Structural patterns¶
Note repeated relationships, boundaries, or workflows that are becoming stable. Repetition alone does not make something canonical; it becomes a Reality Map candidate only when the evidence and role are sufficiently clear.
8. Proposed next boundary¶
Describe a concise work boundary for the next 24 hours. This is a proposal, not an automatic authorization to make decisions reserved for the human root authority.
File naming¶
Durable daily records should use an unambiguous date-based name, for example:
If more than one record is intentionally created for the same calendar day, append a stable sequence or boundary identifier rather than overwriting the prior record.
Relationship to the Reality Map¶
Daily records = chronology + deltas
Reality Map = reconciled present structure
Current State = concise operational truth boundary
A daily record may propose a map change. The map should only absorb the change after reconciliation against available evidence.
Current development stance¶
During the present stabilization period, daily distillation should explicitly record whether work occurred on Alpha/Beta or touched Zero. Zero is currently held stable; unexpected Zero mutations should therefore be treated as material events requiring clear evidence and review.
